fiber optics
Lighting plays a critical role in creating an accommodating atmosphere. In work environments, the right color scheme and lighting boost employee productivity. They can also increase sales in restaurants and retail outlets, illuminate product samples to best effect and help guests relax at pools, spas and other leisure-time facilities. fiber optics
Fiber optic technology has proven to be an effective way of creating impressive, high-quality lighting. Optical fibers are ideal components in lighting design since they:- Do not generate heat at the point of exposure
- Do not require an electrical outlet in the illuminated area
- Can be used externally and in damp environments, including underwater
- Allow multiple areas to be illuminated from one source
- Generate very low levels of UV radiation
- Are very low-maintenance
- Are electro-magnetically compatible
- Allow the creation of innovative lighting designs
EFO® technology
EFO® technology from Fiberstars represents a new generation of fiber optic technology, making it possible to realize state-of-the-art lighting designs that are brighter and use considerably less energy than in the past. Given their greater efficiencies, EFO® lighting solutions are increasingly replacing conventional illumination systems, thanks to their high-performance optical fibers and innovative power-source technology.

EFO® lighting system
The EFO® system makes it possible to design spot lighting solutions using endlight fibers as well as linear solutions using sidelight fibers (see picture, left). In both cases, an illuminator serves as the primary light source. The choice of illuminator depends on the required illumination strength, the length of the lighting fibers and the projection area (indoors or out). In addition, the illuminator can be outfitted with a color wheel (second picture from left), which permits the use of numerous color options at varying speeds.

fiber optics
The OptiCore fiber provides a point of light at the fiber’s end, making it possible to realize one-of-a-kind lighting designs by deploying multiple end-emitting strands. In addition, we offer a preconfigured “night sky” using endlight fibers (third from left). Alternatively, OptiCore fibers can also be used as end-emitting spotlights (right). Linear designs can also be realized using BriteCore side-emitting fibers. It is possible to combine the above elements into an illuminated mosaic, thereby creating extraordinary, unique lighting solutions.
